We had a great time in Townsville catching up with Sarah’s family.
On 10.09.12 Elijah James Mackay was born to Michael’s brother, Wife and family. He had many deformities due to Trisomy 18 and passed away on 12.09.12.
Having been through a similar tragedy 18 months (to the day) ago and wanting to support them we packed up and started to drive south.
We didn’t have a lot of time to catch up with friends on the way, making exception for Lauren Fisher who also knows the pain of recently losing a little one.
The girls were pleased to stop off at Urunga for a spot of fishing and splashing. We stopped here last time we came this way almost 2 years ago. Nothing much has changed except the laundromat is now in the arcade and a fish and chip shop has replaced the laundromat! (Good chips too!)
The three little guys enjoyed feeding the sea gulls some stale bread!
The day we arrived at Campbelltown was Gabrielle’s birthday! It was a bit different to our traditional birthdays! We had the presents on the bed first thing then had dessert for breakfast!
When we arrived at Michael’s brother’s place they set us up in there HUGE garage.
After we were all set up, we were invited upstairs for a birthday dinner for Gabie!
We enjoyed our time with Michael’s family, sad that it had to be around a time of such great loss.
Here is Michael with all his family and his nephew’s and niece’s! It’s one great family! (Amelia 18mth is missing as she was sleeping).
